Supporting Homeschool Families
Shreveport Homeschool Sports (the FORCE) exists to support homeschool families by providing opportunities for home-educated students to play sports at a competitive level throughout their high school years. Each sport under the FORCE umbrella was started by parents who had a child interested in that particular sport.
The program began in the fall of 2012 as a boys’ varsity basketball team, formed by one dedicated father. In 2013, the program grew to include a Junior Varsity team as more students—and more parents—joined in. With a vision to expand opportunities even further, Shreveport Homeschool Sports was officially established in 2013, helping parents create and grow new athletic programs for homeschooled students in the area.
Since then, the FORCE has expanded to include girls’ varsity volleyball, boys’ and girls’ track and field, and cross country. Along the way, our athletes and coaches have built a strong tradition of excellence, earning multiple ACEL State Championships in Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Field, and Cross Country. These victories are not only a testament to the talent and hard work of our athletes, but also to the dedication of the parents and volunteers who make these opportunities possible.

Interested in a Sport Not Yet Offered?
If your child is interested in a sport not currently offered by Shreveport Homeschool Sports, please reach out to us!
The purpose of SHS is to share the lessons learned from building programs like basketball, volleyball, track and field, and cross country—and to provide guidance to parents who feel called to start new teams. Each sport operates autonomously, but SHS provides guidance, support, and a community for families.
It can be done—and we’re here to help you make it happen!
